ESIEVO CONDOLES WITH FAMILIES OF VICTIMS OF EFFURUN OIL TANKER ACCIDENT, COMMENDS OKOWA FOR QUICK RESPONSE

A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Delta State, Chief Abel Esievo, has commended Governor Ifeanyi Okowa for responding quickly to the Effurun oil tanker accident which claimed the lives of two pupils.

Esievo gave the commendation when he paid a condolence visit to Army Day Primary School, Effurun, which the victims attended before their untimely death.

The 2023 governorship hopeful also commended others who had paid similar visits and called for proactive measures, including the construction of a pedestrian bridge, zebra crossing on the road and engagement of traffic control officers, to forestall future occurrences.

He expressed his condolences to the parents of the victims and Army Day Primary School, and prayed God to grant them the fortitude to bear the loss of their children.

Chief Esievo described the accident as unfortunate and called for a full investigation into the incident to ensure that justice was done to the matter.

The Headmistress of Army Day Primary School, Effurun, Mrs Kigho, thanked Chief Esievo for the visit and prayed God to grant him his heart desires.

The highlight of the visit was the presentation of an undisclosed amount of money to the Headmistress to augment the payment of medical bills of the survivors of the accident.
