The Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, has felicitated with Muslims in the state and the country on the celebration of the 2021 Eid-el-kabir.
In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Dennis Otu, the Speaker prayed for an end to insecurity in the country and implored Deltans to continue to pray for the Okowa administration.
Oborevwori implored Muslims to keep faith in the country, urging them, and indeed all Nigerians, not to be disillusioned over the situation in our country, but to continue to be hopeful of better days ahead of the nation and the people.
He expressed optimism that the current situation in the country would end in praise so Nigerians must not relent in prayers for the nation.
While saying that the festival should be used to promote love, togetherness and peace among the people, Oborevwori advised Nigerians to continue to make sacrifices for the good of the country.
“Let me also use this opportunity to commend Deltans for their support for the Okowa administration and to urge them not to relent in their prayers for the Governor so that more dividends of democracy could be achieved in the State for the good of all of us”, he said.
