A former Deputy Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon (Chief) Funkekeme Solomon, has attributed the stability in the Legislature to the sterling leadership qualities of the Speaker, Hon Sheriff Oborevwori.
Funkekeme, in a congratulatory message to the Speaker on his birth anniversary, noted that the present Assembly, under Oborevwori’s watch, had demonstrated oneness of purpose, accounting for the quick passage of Executive Bills for the implementation of the policies and programmes of government for the people.
He said Oborevwori had exhibited strong character, humility, integrity and sincerity in leading the House, adding that it was obvious that the leadership and Honourable members of the House were on the same page in the Legislative business.
The former Deputy Speaker congratulated Oborevwori on his birth anniversary and wished him many more years as he aged gracefully.
Funkekeme prayed God to grant the Speaker good health, sound mind, wisdom and protection in his service to the state and humanity in general.
