The immediate past Chairman of Aniocha North Local Governnent, Honourable Chuks Oseme, has congratulated an indigene of Issele – Uku, Mr Ifeanyi Egwunyenga, on his nomination on Thursday for appointment as a Commissioner in Delta State.

Oseme, in a message in Asaba, said the nomination was an honour to the people of Aniocha North as Ifeanyi Egwunyenga was known to be a passionate personality who always did his best in every assignment given to him.

He thanked the Governor for believing in the nominee who used his “I testify” campaign to sensitize Deltans on the achievements of the Okowa administration prior to the 2019 elections.

The former Council Chairman noted that Egwunyenga had proved himself a worth ambassador of Aniocha North through his brilliant performance as Commissioners for Youth Development in the first two years of Okowa’s second term in office and expressed the hope that he would do better when confirmed by the State Assembly and inaugurated by Governor Okowa.

Similarly, Oseme has congratulated a former Councillor representing ward one in the Aniocha North Legislative Arm, Hon Uche Chiejine, from Onicha – Uku, on his well deserved appointment as Secretary to the Local Governnent, SLG.

He described the new SLG as a grassroots politician conversant with the needs of the people of Aniocha North and urged him to bring his wealth of experience in local government administration to bear in the discharge of his duties.

The former Local Governnent Chairman reminded the SLG of the enormous task ahead of him and advised him to be humble, focused and accessible to all if he must succeed.
