As Nigerians continue to react angrily to the gruesome murder of young Akwa – Ibom job seeking lady, Iniobong Umoren, by one Uduak Frank Akpan, the police in that state have said their investigation revealed that the deceased was the first to attack her killer.
The prime suspect of the murder, Uduak Frank Akpan, was said to have taken advantage of Iniobong’s jobless situation to lure her into his house before terminating her life.
He was also said to have buried her in a shallow grave in his father’s compound in order to cover up.
After waiting for the police to address the situation, the Akwa Ibom State Force Public Relations Officer, Odiko MacDon, came forth with their findings after they interrogated the suspect.
The police spokesman stated that they were going to treat the case based on the information at their disposal.
According to him, “it is a case of sexual assault which later generated into physical assault”.
“He said the deceased attacked her killer first with the weapon before he hit her back in defense. No part of her body was removed. So it is not a case of occultict or anything as such”, the PPRO Stated.
