A former Minister of Aviation and frontline member of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Mr. Femi Fani-Kayode, has scored Anambra State Governor, Chief Willie Obiano high in security architecture and other infrastructural developments in the state.
He made the assessment when he paid a visit to the Governor at the Governor’s Lodge in Onitsha.
According to our correspondent, who covered the visit, the former Minister, while speaking to newsmen, urged Ndi Anambra to sustain their support for Governor Obiano.
He said he was on a tour of southern states, visiting his friends, and stressed that his visit was not political, but to build bridges across party divide, pointing out that the visit offered him an opportunity to visit the site of the ongoing Anambra Airport project.
Fani – Kayode said the Anambra Airport project was extra – ordinary in size and design, emphasizing that when completed, the runway would be the longest in Nigera.
The former Aviation Minister urged the Governor to remain focused and ensure that his successor woukf be someone that could build on his achievements.
He also spoke on Igbo presidency, stressing that it ought to be actualized to achieve peace and stability and advised Ndi Igbo to seek support and confidence of stakeholders outside the south east.
Fani – Kayode lamented the challenge of insecurity in the country, especially in the north which he said was becoming worrisome, and urged the Buhari administration to take radical steps to address it.
