An ultra modern Multi – purpose hall to stand as a symbol of peace and unity among members of the Ugbede family of Mosogar Kingdom, and provide a platform for the advancement of development in Mosogar Kingdom has been commissioned.
Built by an illustrious son of Mosogar Kingdom and frontline politician in the state, Chief Ighoyota Amori, the hall, named after Christian Ugbede Family, was commissioned by a former Chairman, Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Delta State chapter, Reverend Gideon Oyibo, who urged the people of Mosogar to use the facility as a point of contact with God.
Reverend Oyibo commended Chief Amori for his interest in peace and unity in Mosogar Kingdom, using the ultra modern edifice as a rallying point.
He said it was thoughtful of Chief Amori to have concerned himself with what he could do for his communty, rather than what he stood to gain from the community and urged public officers, particularly politicians to emulate the good gesture in order to make the society better.
In his remarks, Chief Amori, a one time Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and now Chairman, Governing Board of the Delta State Capital Territory Development Agency, thanked God for using him to attract development to Mosogar Kingdom.
Chief Amori said his success in politics could not have been possible without the support of the Ugbede family and indeed the Mosogar Kingdom, disclosing that the inspiration he got from the family prompted him to venture into politics in 1987 when he served as a Councilor.
He pointed out that the donation of the hall was in furtherance of his show of appreciation to the people for their unflinching support which had been his driving force in politics.
The PDP chieftain urged the Ugbede family and the Mosogar Kingdom in general to put the facility to good use for the overall development of the area.
The Deputy Speaker of the Delta State House of Assemby, Honourable Ochor Christopher Ochor and the member representing the Uvwie constituency in the House, Honourable Solomon Ighrakpata, were among dignitaries that witnessed the event.
