Delta State Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, has felicitated with the Iyase of Asaba, Obi (Chief) Patrick Isioma Goodluck Onyeobi, as he clocks 87.
In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Olisa Ifeajika, Okowa described Onyeobi, a former Secretary to the defunct Bendel State Government and Head of Service, as a quintessential administrator and community leader with sterling leadership qualities.
He commended the Octogenarian for his strong convictions on the traditions of Asaba Kingdom and his contributions, over the years, to the development of the capital city.
Okowa stated that Onyeobi’s unwavering commitment to service to humanity and outstanding accomplishments in life, which had stood him out as a great mentor and role model, would continue to inspire the younger generation.
He said, “Chief Onyeobi is a great symbol of the traditional institution of Asaba and has left indelible footprints in the sands of time.
“As you turn 87 years today, we celebrate you and all that you have accomplished through your humble beginnings to the zenith of your distinguished career having risen to become Head of Service and Secretary to the defunct Bendel State Government.
