Your Excellency sir, another 360 days have rolled over and it is time once again to thank God for your wonderful life, which in your usual character you have devoted to the service of God and humanity.
As Governor, your eight year tenure was impactful on every Deltan, as it remains a reference point in government circle, with the legacies you bequeathed to the state in the areas of peace, unity and all round development still speak volume even after 13 years you left office.
Sir, you are widely known across the country as a respected elder statesman with a deep passion fir the oneness of Nigeria and your mentorship role has singled you out as a force to reckon with in the nation’s political networks and development of good leadership qualities among emerging leaders in the country.
In the Niger Delta region, you championed the cause of oil producing areas to the point where other parts of the country truly appreciated that the region deserved a better deal from the Federal government; a development that helped to restore peace in the oil rich region.
As you celebrate, my prayer is that God continually grants you good health, long life, more wisdom and strength to contribute more to the development of the state, the country and humanity in general.
