DELTA GOVT PROMISES CONTINUED PARTNERSHIP WITH OTHER POLITICAL PARTIES

The State Government has assured that it will continue to collaborate with opposition political parties in advancing good governance in the State.

The Senior Political Adviser to the Delta State Governor, Honourable Funkekeme Solomon, gave the assurance in Asaba while playing host to the Chairman, Interim National Management Committee of the Inter – Party Advisory Council (IPAC), Chief Leonard Ezenwa, who paid him a courtesy visit.

Honourable Solomon said the state government had never discriminated against other political parties in the scheme of things, adding that no fewer than seven members of opposition political parties had been given political appointments as a way of drawing from their experiences.

The Senior POLAD thanked the National Interim Management Committee Chairman of IPAC for the visit and congratulated the State Interim Management Committee of the Council on a successful inauguration, urging it not to hesitate to come up with ideas that would enhance good governance in the state.

Earlier, the Chairman,.National Interim Management Committee of IPAC, Chief Leonard Ezenwa, said he and members of his team were in Delta State for the inauguration of the State Interim Management Committee of the Council, in line with the decision of the 2nd Extra Ordinary Executive Meeting of the body.

Chief Ezenwa thanked the Delta State Government for the hospitality he and members of his team enjoyed while in the state and particularly commended the Okowa administration for carrying other political parties along in the governance of the state.

The Interim National Management Committee Chairman was accompanied on the visit by the Committee’s Secretary, Alhaji Jusuf Fantelle and Publicity Secretary, Major Gilbert Agbo.

A Senior Special Assistant to the Governor (Political) and Director of Political Development and Mobilization, Office of the Senior POLAD,.Sir Austin Onianwa, Senior Special Assistant and Special Assistant on Inter – Party Relations were present during the visit.
