The Chairman, Governing Council of the College of Education, Agbor, Chief Emmanuel Onyeukwu, has described the life of the State Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, as that of service and sacrifice.
Chief Onyeukwu, in a congratulatory message to the Governor on his 61st birthday anniversary, noted that he had touched many lives in the various capacities he had served over the past two decades, adding that success stories had trailed his lines of duty.
He stated that the Governor had at different times had stints at the local government, state and federal levels before caping it up with the governorship seat, pointing out that in all he had proved himself a credible, focused and God fearing leader with the welfare of the people at heart.
The Governing Council Chairman noted the dexterity with which Governor Okowa fought the COVID – 19 pandemic to stop it from entering the state, and continued the fight after the index case was recorded, but regretted that he got infected in the process while working to keep Deltans safe.
Chief Onyeukwu prayed God to grant the Governor, his family and others infected by the virus quick recovery, urging all residents of the state to join in praying for the Governor as a special gift on his birthday.
