Deltans have been urged to use the occasion of the 61st birthday anniversary of the State Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, to pray for quick recovery for him, his wife, daughter and all others infected by the Coronavirus in the state.
The Special Adviser to the Governor on Project Implementation and Evaluation, Honourable Johnson Erijo, made the call in a congratulatory message to the Governor on his birthday today.
Erijo, a former member of the State House of Assembly, said the dogged fight launched against the COVID – 19 pandemic by the Governor, clearly demonstrated the love he had for Deltans, stressing that nothing could be more sacrificial than his being infected in the line of duty.
He commended Senator Okowa for his selfless service to the people of the state, noting that from the onset of his administration he left no one in doubt of what to expect with regards to good governance, which had impacted positively on the lives of Deltans.
The Special Adviser urged Governor Okowa to remain strong in faith, even in the face of the Coronavirus infection, assuring him that God would see him and his family through the trying times.
Erijo pledged the support of the Office of Project Implementation and Evaluation for the efforts of government at bequeathing a legacy of standardized infrastructure that would facilitate the attachment of the envisaged Stronger Delta through painstaking monitoring of projects across the state.
