Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State  has congratulated the Dein of Agbor Kingdom, Benjamin Ikenchukwu Keagborekuzi I, as he clocks 43 on Monday.

The Governor, in a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Olise Ifejika, said the Dein had provided purposeful, courageous and tenacious traditional leadership for the Agbor people over the years and deserved to be celebrated on his new age.

He commended the monarch for making Agbor kingdom peaceful and investor-friendly since he ascended the throne of his forebears.

Okowa joined the people of Ika nation, particularly the Agbor people, in celebrating the monarch, and prayed that he would remain in good health, wisdom and strength to continue to rule the people of his kingdom.

The Governor extolled the Dein for his contributions to issues of unemployment, social deviance and value-orientation among youths, which spurred him to establish the Agbor Youth Learning, Development and Empowerment Centre.

He noted that the Agbor monarch also initiated cultural and traditional reforms to enhance the living conditions of the people of his kingdom, and ensured appropriate recognition and strategic relevance of the ever-important traditional institution in the society.

Obi Benjamin Ikenchukwu, who is the 18th Dein of Agbor kingdom, was crowned King in 1979 at the age of 2.
