Governor Ifeanyi Okowa has felicitated with the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Honourable Sheriff Oborevwori, on his birthday today, June 19.
In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Olisa Ifeajika, Okowa joined the parliament, the Okpe constituency, friends and family of the Speaker in celebrating years of remarkable accomplishments and service to the state.
The Governor extolled Oborevwori for his humility, simplicity and discipline in providing exceptional leadership for the State Legislature by diligently bridging the gap and creating a harmonious atmosphere for debates and exchange of ideas for the development of the state.
He noted that the speaker had demonstrated selflessness in the representation of his constituency and maturity in his leadership of the House, which had contributed immensely to the healthy executive-legislature relations in the state, adding that the Assembly under the watch of Oborevwori had remained peaceful and always ready for early passage of Bills with direct impact on the lives of Deltans.
Okowa prayed God to continue to keep and prosper the Speaker, especially as he continued to patriotically give himself in support of the present administration’s effort to make life meaningful for the people of Delta State
