Governors elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, (APC), have renewed their commitment to strenghtening the party, while expressing confidence that the party will come out of the Edo crisis stronger.
The Governors, in a communique issued on Sunday after an emergency teleconference meeting on Saturday, unanimously reaffirmed their resolve to work for the unity of the party.
In the communique, which was signed by the APC Governors’ Forum Chairman, Abubakar Bagudu, the Governors collectively agreed to ensure party internal democratic mechanism for the selection of party candidates in all elections, especially with respect to Edo and Ondo States 2020 Governorship elections.
Forum members were confident that the party would resolve all current challenges and emerge stronger.
