12 top leaders of the All Progressives Congress, APC, have decided to challenge the powers of the party’s National Chairman, Adams Oshiomhole, to make certain decisions without the National Working Committee’s approval.
They are also teaming up against the National Leader of APC Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for maintaining silence over the Edo crisis, suggesting that he was backing the actions of the National Chairman Adams oshiomhole.
The12 leaders include Alhaji Salihu Mustapha, Chief Polycap Udah, Captain Mohammed Bala Jibrin, Ray Morphy, Alhaji Umar Kachalla Zubair and Dr. Sylvanus Amechi.
Other are Alhaji Shaba Emangi, Chief Emeka Enechi, Honourable Charles Idahosa, Honourable Mohammed Aboki Mahmud, Prince Mackor Shaka Momodu and Alhaji Yesufu Omonem.
They accused oshiomhole of abuse of office for working without other members of the National Working Committee, thereby constituting himself into a one man squad to take decisions reserved for the entire APC.
The party leaders said Oshiomhole, back stabbed the entire National Working Committee when he met first with INEC and discussed the mode of primary elections before convening a meeting on the decision which he had already taken.
They accused the APC National Chairman for refusing to convene a meeting of the National Executive Committee of the party to consider critical issues bordering on Edo state primary election, and particularly for
using a PDP loyalist to fight the incumbent Governor.
The 12 said APC belonged to them all and vowed not to allow one man to hijack the party to the detriment of other stakeholders.
