The Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Honourable Sheriff Oborevwori, has congratulated the wife of the state Governor and founder 05 Initiative, Dame Edith Okowa, on the commemoration of her birthday today, June 1, 2020.
In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Dennis Otu, the Speaker described the First Lady as an epitome of humility, saying she had positively impacted on the lives of Deltans through her pet project.
He said the establishment of sickle cell clinics across local government areas of the state by the wife of the Governor through the 05 Initiative had brought relief the persons living with the disorder and their families, adding that as a good wife, a caring mother and God fearing woman, she had brought succour to the needy.
The Speaker prayed God to continually protect Dame Okowa and give her the strength to relentlessly serve humanity.
