The Deputy Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Honourable Ochor Christopher Ochor, has assured Deltans of more dividends of democracy in the years to come.
Speaking in an interview in Asaba, the Ochor said five years of Senator Ifeanyi Okowa as Governor of Delta State had witnessed unprecedented development which he attributed to the Governor’s penchant for good governance and excellence.
The Deputy Speaker said the nickname “Road Master”, was not just for fun, but in recognition of the strides recorded by the administration in road infrastructure, even in riverine communities.
Ochor called for greater support of Deltans for the Okowa administration.
Also speaking, the Majority Whip and member representing Ika south constituency, Honourable Festus Okoh, said there was no local government area in the state without a development project to show from the Okowa administration.

Okoh said despite the economic recession and the advent of the Covid 19 pandemic, the Governor never stopped initiating programs geared towards enhancing the quality of lives and infrastructure in the state.
The lawmaker expressed optimism of greater development in the years ahead.
For his part, the Chairman, House Committee on Public Accounts and member representing Ika north east constituency, Honourable Anthony Elekeokuri, described five years of Okowa’s government as fantastic.
Elekeokuri said the primary function of government was ensuring the welfare and security of the people, noting that the Governor had done well in the two areas, particularly poverty alleviation.

He urged Deltans to remain resolute in their confidence and prayers for Governor Okowa and his administration, even as he commended the people for their unflinching support.
At the federal levei, the lawmaker urged the Buhari administration to open up the economy for meaningful development to thrive.
