Following the rumour making the rounds that school will reopen on 8th June, the Minister of State for Education, Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba, has disclosed that there are plans for schools to reopen nationwide, but not in two weeks time.


Nwajiuba confirmed that there was no exact date yet for schools to resume, adding that schools would be reopened, after proper deliberations and advice from experts.


He concluded by saying that government would not expose children, until there was adequate measure to safeguard students in their various schools, especially in this pandemic period.
