Christians have been told not to murmur or grumble in the presence of God if they must enjoy his blessings.
The Vicar in charge of Christ Anglican Church, Okpanam, Reverend Benjamin Okolotu, gave the charge on Sunday in a sermon he preached at the single service of the day.
Reverend Okolotu said every human being was specially created for a purpose in his own image and likeness, stressing that every Christian must humble himself or herself and serve God in truth and in spirit.
The cleric admonished Christians not to allow anyone take away their happiness as that was a sure way of loving one’s neighbour as one would love himself.
The Anglican priest dwelt on the COVID – 19 pandemic currently ravaging the world, saying that only divine intervention would conquer the virus and restore hope to man.
Reverend Okolotu, who commended the state government for the efforts so far at curtailing and containing the virus, urged Deltans to continue to abide by the precautionary measures put in place by government to ensure their safety.
He said the authority of his church had kept to the rules stipulated by government, pointing out that it had been a single service every Sunday since the order was made, while social distancing and wearing of masks had been maintained in the church auditorium.
