A foremost socio-political group, the Isoko Advancement Network (IAN), has showered encomiums on former President of the Athletics Federation of Nigeria (AFN), Chief Solomon Ogba, who turned 60 on May 1, 2020.
In a statement issued in Ozoro, Headquarters of Isoko north local government, by the Publicity Secretary of the group, Comrade Felix Ofou, IAN Chairman, Chief Paul John, extolled the sterling qualities of Ogba.
Odhomor, on behalf of the Patron of IAN, Comrade Ovuozourie Macaulay, the Okiroro of Isokoland, congratulated, Solomon Ogba for attaining the diamond age, noting that it was a feat worth celebrating.
The IAN Chairman described the one time NDDC Commissioner and sports titan as a humble, patriotic and God-fearing political leader whose exemplary conduct had inspired many both within and outside Delta State.
He particularly noted that Ogba, popularly called Igwe, had helped to place the Isoko nation on the world map, especially in the area of sports and prayed God to grant him long life and good health to continue the good work for which he had become famous.
