A Nigerian father, Femi Adeoye, who denied his son entry into his home after returning from Lagos has been appointed Ekiti State COVID – 19 Response Ambassador by Governor Kayode Fayemi.
Adeoye, a resident of the state and a retired FRSC official, became a viral sensation on Wednesday after a video of him saying he will not allow his son who just returned from Lagos state, to enter his house.
For fear that the young man might have contracted Coronavirus, Adeoye said his son must present himself to the state government officials for isolation for a period of 14 days.
He said he did not want a situation where his son would be a ”distributior” of the virus in Ekiti state.
Impressed by the man’s discipline, Governor Kayode Fayemi, on Thursday, April 30, invited him to his office where he applauded him and offered him appointment as COVID-19 Response Ambassador in Ekiti State.
