A former Secretary to the Delta State Government (SSG), Comrade Ovuozourie Macaulay, has extoled the virtues of the Senior Political Adviser to the Governor, Honourable Funkekeme Solomon, as he marks his 58th birthday.
In a congratulatory message to the former Deputy Speaker of the State Assembly, Macaulay noted that in and out of government, Solomon had been resourceful with landmark contributions to the state, recalling particularly that he remained one of the major pillars that had kept Delta South Senatorial district politically relevant.
Politically he described Funkekeme Solomon as an ingenious personality, a brother and a colleague, reflecting with nostalgia on the days in G3, when the Senior Political Adviser played a key rile in galvanizing the Isoko, Ijaw and Itsekiri ethnic nationalities towards achieving a common purpose.
Macaulay, who is the Director General of the Warri. Uvwie and Environs Development Agency, added that Solomon is a worthy son of Delta State who had risen from the humble position of Chief Press Secretary to the Speaker of the first Assembly in the State, through the office of the Minority Leader to becoming the Deputy Speaker of the House.
On the executive side, the DG noted that the birthday celebrant had contributed immensely to the growth of the state as Commissioner for Works, Chairman, governing council of Delta State Polytechnic, Ozoro, among other positions.
He prayed God to grant Solomon divine health, innermost peace and many more fruitful years to work for the state and mankind in general.
