LOCKDOWN: Ochonogor Supports Okowa’s Initiative; Donates Palliatives To Ndokwa West Food Bank C’ttee

In view of the growing need to cushion the effect of total lock down in the state occasioned by the COVID 19 pandemic, the Commissioner for Housing, Chief Festus Ochonogor, has donated some food items to the people of Ndokwa west local government area.


Presenting the palliatives to the area’s Food Bank Committee, Chief Ochonogor said the donation was to compliment the effort of the state government at ameliorating the sufferings of the people due to the lockdown.


He thanked the people of Ndokwa west for their perseverance and urged the Committee to ensure that the palliatives got to the most vulnerable class in our communities.


Speaking on behalf of the Food Bank Committee, the Chairman, Honourable Chris Osakwe, thanked Chief Ochonogor for the donation and appealed to other well meaning sons and daughters of Ndokwa west to emulate him.


He assured the Commissioner that the palliatives would be fairly and judiciously distributed.


Items donated include 50 (50kg) bags of rice, 20 (100kg) bags of beans, 10 bags of onions, 100 cartons of indomie noodles, and some quantities of face masks made of cloth.
