Former President Olusegun Obasanjo says he has donated close to 1 billion dollars to Nigerians.
OBJ, who was speaking in an interviewed on Channels tv, lashed out on the few rich in the country who he said never cared about the poor.
He said as a former President, he knew it was difficult to manage a corrupt country like Nigeria, adding that he tried to clean up the system, but could not because of the attitude of the leaders.
The former Nigerian leader wondered how a government would lockdown a country for 28days without providing what people would feed on.
” I woke up this morning and decided to walk around, when I saw how hungry people are, I started shedding tears. I asked my manager to credit all Nigerians account with 5,000 Naira.
” All Nigerians should receive their money before 7days,” OBJ concluded.
