The Special Adviser to the Governor of Delta state on Project Implementation and Evaluation, Honourable Johnson Erijo, has commended his Principal, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, for the number of COVID-19 isolation centres in the state.
In a press statement in Asaba, Erijo said the commendation was sequel to Governor Okowa’s concerted efforts at curbing the spread of COVID-19 in the state, and urged Deltans to adhere strictly to official directives in that regard..
He emphasized that Governor Okowa was deeply concerned about the safety of lives of the people, pointing out that his Project Monitoring Office had spread its tentacles to parts of the state to ensure the success of the fight against COVID – 19 and the palliative measures put in place by government to mitigate the impact of the lockdown.
The Governor’s Aide urged all Executive Assistants, Senior Special Assistants and Special Assistants to the Governor on Project Monitoring to help monitor the level of compliance with government’s directives on COVID – 19, as well as modalities for the distribution of food from the Food Bank in their local government areas in order to ensure a seamless exercise.
Erijo advised Deltans to abide by all recommended precautionary measures as they observed the stay at home order, adding that they should keep their environment clean and improve on personal hygiene so as to stay safe from COVID – 19.
