The General Overseer of Divine Faith Evangelical Mission, Agbor, Prophet Joseph Igbodo, has advocated righteousness, prayer and fasting as solutions to the corona virus pandemic currently ravaging manyt countries of the world.

Prophet Igbodo, in an interactive session with newsmen in Agbor after he had  delivered his message on Coronavirus during a church service, noted that the virus was allowed by God to checkmate human race, because of the  high rate of immortality in the world and man’s refusal to acknowledge God as the Omnipotent, Omnipresent and Omniscience.

He noted that some of the countries badly affected by the coronavirus pandemic were the so called world powers, who believed in themselves and their inventions through the rapid development in science and technology; without attributing the breakthroughs to God.

The clergyman regretted that some of the worst hit countries had forsaken the ordinances of God and had legalized immorality, violence, killings and idol worship..

The prophet of God described America as a country involved in several sinful acts and likened Italy to Sodom and Gomorrah, because of the high rate of social vices; which explained why the virus was severely affecting them.

He further revealed that Africa positively applied the teachings of the Bible, accounting for the mildness of the virus on the continent.

Prophet Igbodo, who is also the proprietor of Job’s orphanage and Saint Stephen’s Trust Widow’s Home both in Agbor, said the stay – at – home order by the state government was not a solution to COVID – 19, but fervent prayer and fasting so that God could intervene and change the situation for good.

The cleric charged religious leaders in the country to be focused and more committed to serving God, stressing that the current outbreak of COVID – 19 was a test of their faith, even as he cautioned them to be mindful of their actions and utterance in these trying times.

The religious minister stated that God had assured in the scripture that, “If Noah, Daniel and Job, are in a community where there is pestilence, such pestilence will not affect them because of their righteousness,,” explaining that people who lived righteously should not be afraid of corona virus because it will not affect them.

He maintained that the righteous had no reason to fear the corona virus, and  charged the church to prove their God to Nigeria and say, “God Nothing Will Happen To Us”; through their Prayers and Fasting.

Prophet Igbodo used the opportunity to urge individuals and organisations that would be inspired to identify with his ministry, the Orphanage or the Widows’ Trust Home to call  08037452147, 08037644855 or 08038997461.
