The Special Adviser to the Governor on Project Implementation and Evaluation, Honourable Johnson Erijo, has commended Deltans for obeying government’s stay at home order intended to prevent the spread of the dreaded COVID-19 to the state.
Erijo gave the commendation on Thursday while reacting to the positive reports sent in by the EAs, SSAs and SAs on Project Monitoring from their various communities, describing the lockdown as a measure to save lives in the state.
While saying that the Okowa administration placed enormous value on the health of Deltans, Erijo advised the people to play safe always so as to be COVID-19 free, adding that Deltans should always wash their hands with soap and running water, and use alcohol-based sanitizers.
The Governor’s Aide enjoined the sick to avoid sharing dishes, glasses, beddings and other household items with other people in order to curb the spread of the disease.
He urged returnees to Nigeria with symptoms of fever, cough and breathing difficulties to self isolate within 14 days of arrival, for proper observation.
Erijo commended the EAs, SSAs and SAs on Project Monitoring for sending in their reports and urged them to monitor their various communities and send in more situation reports to him on the government stay at home directive.
