The Governor expressed satisfaction with the quality of work on the project, saying that he was optimistic that the new completion date would be feasible.

He noted that the secretariat was a huge structure, bigger that the two existing secretariats in the state capital and lying on over 50,000 square metres, with the capacity to accommodate every Ministry, Department and Agency.

While stressing the importance of the new structure, the Governor said it wasunfortunate that after several years of existence of this state, government offices were still operating from over 100 different located in Asaba, thereby making coordination, relationships and time management difficult.
