The General Superintendent of Assemblies of God Church, Reverend Chidi Okoroafor, who was suspended for alleged adultery has been dismissed by the Church.
The leadership of the church announced the dismissal during the Church’s General Committee Emergency Meeting after considering a report on his alleged immoral relationship with a United States based woman, Mrs Maurrissal Nwosu.
A former Lagos District Superintendent, Reverend Isaac Mpamugo’s panel which investigated Okoroafor’s case was said to have established the fact that the pastor was involved in adultery contrary to Biblical principles and the Constitution and Bye-Laws of the Assemblies of God Nigeria.
The Executive Committee of the church has ordered the dismissed pastor to hand over all Assemblies of God properties in his possession to Reverend EjikemeASSE EJim who takes over as Acting General Superintendent.
