Deposed Emir of Kano, Muhammad Sanusi II, has said God made him the Emir of Kano state and his dethronement is the will of God.
Sanusi, while breaking silence on his dethronement, prayed for the progress of the state and appealed to the people of Kano to remain calm and not resort to violence.
He said his removal was nothing new because every power was transient except that from God, adding that someone was there before him.
Sanusi insisted that the most important thing to a leader was a sound and peaceful end and thanked God that brought him to a peaceful end without any rancor or chaos.
He also thanked the Prophets, Imans, the muslim community and others who stood by him while he reigned and called on the entire Umah to remain in peace, while soliciting support for whoever would succeed him.
