Governor Ifeanyi Okowa has expressed sadness over the passing of two of his aides, Friday Akpoyibo and Godspower Muemuifo.
In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Olisa Ifeajika, the Governor commiserated with the families of the deceased and their communities.
He described Akpoyibo, who was Chairman, Transition Committee of Ughelli North Local Government between 2012 and 2014. as a grassroots and thoroughbred politician and administrator loved by his people for his strong convictions and truthful disposition at all times.
Okowa also described Godspower Muemuifo, a former Secretary to Ughelli South Local Government, as an astute politician, complete party man and trusted leader at the grassroots who would be greatly missed.
The Governor prayed God to accept the souls of the deceased and grant fortitude to their families and friends to bear the loss
.
Godspower Muemuifo died on March 4_ while Friday Akpoyibo passed away on March 8, 2020.
They were both Senior Special Assistants to the Governor on Political Matters.
