Delta State Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, has congratulated the Chairman, Delta State Council of Traditional Rulers and Obi of Owa Kingdom, Dr. Emmanuel Efeizomor the second, as he clocks 82 today, March 10.
In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Olisa Ifeajika, the Governor eulogised the renowned traditional ruler, describing him as an exemplary man of peace and extreme humility.
According to Okowa, Obi Efeizomor had continued to be a shining light, custodian of the culture of the Owa people and a revered monarch whose wise counsel to governments at the state and federal levels over the decades had been invaluable and enduring.
Okowa urged the monarch not to waver in his belief in the peace and unity of his fatherland, but to do all within his power to ensure that his domain remained a model of peace to other kingdoms.
The Governor appreciated the wise counsel of the Owa monarch and all that he and his colleagues were doing at the grassroots to make governance easier in the state and prayed God to endow him with longer life and increased wisdom to enable him render more service to his Kingdom and humanity.
