A 7 man robbery gang led by an Indian lady has been arrested by the Police in Lagos state.


The gang, which specialised in robbing churches and supermarkets, was rounded up during a robbery operation along Lagos – Apapa express way.

In a statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Lagos State Command, DSP Elkana Bala, it was revealed that the leader of the gang, which before the arrest exchange series of bullet with the police before the Nigerian Army came to their rescue, spoke on how she got into robbery.


The gang leader, identified as Alisha Noble, confessed during interrogation that no amount of bullet shot at her can penetrate her body having been fortified by an Indian priest, now late.


The mysterious robbery suspect further confessed that when she arrived Nigeria early 2011, she decided to form the robbery gang because she knew no bullet would penetrate her body.


Another member of the gang disclosed the numbers of churches they had robbed and the amount of money the gang had made from its operations.


The gang, the police said, however, ran out of luck in its last operation when the police acted on an intelligence report about its activities.


“We had a serious gun battle with them before we were supported by men of the Nigerian Army”, the Police release said.
