The Delta state monthly environmental sanitation exercise will hold on Saturday, February 29, 2020 between the hours of 7am and 10am.
There will be restriction of movement during the three hour period, while a sanitation mobile court will sit in Asaba to prosecute violators of environmental laws.
A statement from the State Ministry of Environment has requested residents of the state to use the period to clean their environment.
The Delta State Waste Management Board has been directed to use the exercise to educate members of the public on the need to register with the Private Sector Participants for the evacuation of their waste to approved dump site and to evacuate the resultant refuse from the sanitation exercise to the appropriate place.
