The member representing Isoko South Two Constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly Honourable Ferguson Onwo, has called on warring parties over the kingship tussle in Uzere Community to sheath their swords and give peace a chance.

Ferguson Onwo who spoke to Assembly Correspondents immediately after Tuesday’s plenary, described the feud as an unnecessary distraction to the development of the community.

The Lawmaker urged stakeholders to approach the peace process with sincerity, stressing that the crisis would only embitter them and worsen the situation.

Crisis erupted in Uzere Community last Sunday following renewed hostilities by supporters of the two crowned traditional rulers in the Kingdom.

No fewer than 20 persons were alleged to have sustained various degrees of injury from both factions.
