Today marks the second year of Leah Sharibu in the custody of Book Haram after she was abducted along with 100 other girls from Government Girls’ Secondary School, Dapchi, Yobe state in 2018.

Reflecting on the incident, President Muhammadu Buhari regretted that Leah had remained in the dain of Book Haram terrorists because she refused to renounce her Christian faith.

Buhari, in a statement by his media team, said the federal government was making frantic effort to secure the release of the 16 year old girl.

He stressed that every Nigerian had the right to practice his or her religion, adding that no one had the right to force anyone against his or her will.
