The President General of Abavo Town Union, Mr Jonathan Agbejiagwe, has urged youths of the community to remain peaceful as the union is partnering with security agencies to address the apprehension occasioned by recent attacks on the community by suspected herdsmen.

Agbejiagwe, who was speaking in a telephone interview, said the scare of renewed attack was still in the locals as people were afraid of going to their farms.

He said the herdsmen were still in the camps located across Abavo Kingdom and urged them not to abuse the hospitality of the people, having forcefully occupied their territory with the attendant vices.

The PG allayed fears of reprisal attack assuring that the agrarian community would not take any action that would truncate the peace process already initiated by the state government.

Agbejiagwe, who condemned the herders attack, called on the relevant authorities to ensure it did not occur again, promising that the community would continue to live in peace with law abiding non indigenes in its domain.
