The Special Adviser to the Governor of Delta state on Project Implementation and Evaluation, Honourable Johnson Erijo, has felicitated with Senator Duoye Diri of the PDP on his declaration as Governor – elect of Bayelsa state and subsequent presentation of Certificate of Return to him by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.
Highly elated Erijo, who was reacting to what had played out in Bayelsa since Thursday’s Supreme Court verdict which nullified the election of Lyon of the APC over the disqualification of his running mate by the Court for submitting forged documents to INEC, said it affirmed that PDP remained in firm control of the South South, adding that the victory of the APC in the Bayelsa governorship election was by crook.
He rejoiced with the people of Bayelsa for the remarkable ruling, assuring them that the PDP administration would impact meaningfully on their lives.
Honourable Erijo hailed the judiciary for standing on the side of truth, stressing that the disqualification of the Deputy Governor – elect, Biobarakuma Degi – Eremieoyo for forgery was deterrent and in the best interest of sanity.
