SUPREME COURT VICTORY: An Act Of God – Onogba

Deltans have been asked to ascribe the glory for the Supreme Court victory of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa to God.

The Delta State Commissioner for Environment, Mr Christian Onogba, made the call in Asaba while speaking shortly after the verdict reaffirming the mandate freely given to the Governor by Deltans in the 2019 election.

Onogba thanked God for using Justice Centus Nweze and six other Justices to deliver the remarkable judgement, stressing that anything could have happened and no one would have questioned it.

He noted that the hand of God was evidently in the litigations filed against Governor Okowa by Great Ogboru of the All Progressives Congress, APC, as the case lacked merit from the petition to appeal levels, with the final seal at the Supreme Court.

The Environment Commissioner congratulated the Governor and the state PDP on the divine triumph and urged him to continue to work in the way of the Lord in order to accomplish greater feats to the glory of God and humanity.

He advised Great Ogboru and the APC to accept the verdict in good faith and find a way to contribute to the development of the state, as Delta state belonged to all Deltans irrespective of political affiliation.
