A former member of the Delta State House of Assembly, Honourable Chinwe Monu – Olarewaju, has said the Stronger Delta vision of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa is assured with the reaffirmation of his mandate by the Supreme Court of Nigeria.
Honourable Olarewaju, a Barrister – at – Law, stated this in a statement shortly after Justice Centus Nweze led six other Justices of the Apex court to dismiss the Appeal filed against the Governor by Chief Great Ogboru of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
She described the legal triumph as victory for all Deltans irrespective of ethnic, religious or political differences, pointing out that the state would be better for it as the distractions caused by the litigation had been brought to an end.
The one time Commissioner for Commerce and Industry congratulated Governor Okowa on the victory and urged him to extend a hand of fellowship to his opponent, Chief Great Ogboru for the greater good of the state.
Honourable Olarewaju, also a former Chairman, Transition Committee of Oshimili south Local Government, commended the judiciary for what she called a sound judgement, and urged Deltans to step up their support for the Okowa administration.
