A leader of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Ossissa, Ndokwa east local government area, Chief Emmanuel Onyeukwu, has described the reaffirmation of the reelection of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa by the Supreme Court as a reflection of the confidence reposed in him by the people of Delta state.
Chief Onyeukwu, who is also the Chairman, Governing Council of the College of Education, Agbor, made the remark in a statement shortly after the verdict.
He said even before the election it was clear that Governor Okowa was good to win, adding that the overwhelming support experienced during the campaigns was enough to send the opponents parking.
The Ossissa PDP leader noted that the result of the election was a true reflection of the support demonstrated by the people as the Governor won convincingly in 23 out of the 25 local government areas of the state.
Chief Onyeukwu felicitated with the Governor and assured him of the continued support of Ossissa people, thanking the judiciary for a good judgement.
