OKOWA URGES POLITICAL APPOINTEES TO ENSURE CONTINUITY OF GOVT POLICIES AND PROGRAMS

The Governor of Delta State, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, has urged political appointees to ensure cohesion in policy execution by carrying on from where their predecessors stopped.


The Governor made the call on Wednesday at the inauguration of the chairmen and members of Boards of Land Allocation Committee, Arts Council, Institute of Continuing Education, Urban Water Board, Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Agency, Technical and Vocational Education Board, Agency for Adult and Non-Formal Education, as well as Bursary and Scholarship Board.


He stated that the appointees were carefully selected based on their antecedents, expressing confidence that with their wealth of experience they would contribute meaningfully to the growth of their establishments. 


While congratulating the chairmen and members of the Boards, Governor Okowa warned them to desist from engaging in any act capable of bringing division in the state, stressing that a united and progressive state was needed to achieve s Stronger Delta.


Okowa charged them to be guided at all times by the principles of integrity, accountability and prudence.


Responding on behalf of the appointees, Honourable Talib Tebite thanked Governor Okowa for finding them worthy to serve in his administration, assuring that they would carry out their duties diligently with the fear of God.
