Delta State Police Command has refuted online media reports purporting that it confirmed an incident where a 19 year boy was alleged to have impregnated his mother while testing a love charm in Delta.
The Commissioner of Police Delta State, Adeyinka Adeleke, in a statement issued by the image maker of the Command, DSP Onome Onovwakpoyeya, says the publication is not only misleading but a mere figment of the author’s imagination.
Adeleke adds that no such incident came to the knowledge of the Police and it was never reported at any Police Formation in the state.
According to the Delta CP, DSP Celestina Kalu who was quoted to have confirmed the story last served as the Command’s Public Relations Officer three years ago and is no longer serving in the state.
He therefore enjoined members of the public to disregard the story in its entirety, adding that any incident of public interest should always be verified with the Offices of the Commissioner of Police and the Police Public Relations Officer whose contact numbers are available in the public domain.
