The academic community in the College of Education Agbor has been urged to collaborate with the political class to facilitate the attainment of the vision and mission of the institution.
The Chairman, Governing Council of the College, Chief Emmanuel Onyeukwu, made the call in Asaba at a reception for his guests shortly after his inauguration with other members of the Council by Governor Ifeanyi Okowa.
Chief Onyeukwu said both parties needed each other to move the institution forward, adding that the Council should be seen by the staff and students as a partner in progress.
He noted that the 11th Council under his watch did a lot to improve on infrastructure and academic standard in the college, promising that the new Council would do even greater things to take the institution to higher heights.
Chief Onyeukwu thanked Governor Ifeanyi Okowa for another opportunity given him to serve the College of Education Agbor and solicited the cooperation of the staff, students, the Agbor community and other stakeholders towards achieving set goals.
The Governing Council Chairman also thanked the people of Ndokwa east and his Ossissa community in particular for their unwavering support for the PDP and Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, assuring them that the Okowa administration would impact more positively on their lives before the end of its second tenure.
He urged political leaders in the area to unite for greater glory for the PDP and empowerment of the people.
