A leader of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Aniocha south local government area and two time Minister of State, Chief Chris Agbobu, has been conferred with the title of Onihe ( King Maker) of Ubulu Uno.

The title was conferred on him today at Ubulu Uno by the traditional ruler of the Kingdom, Obi Afamefune Kikachukwu, who said the choice of Agbobu followed the demise of the former Onihe over a decade ago.

Obi Kikachukwu described the new Onihe as an illustrious son of Ubulu Uno who had shown deep commitment to the development of the community.

He noted that the former Minister had attracted development projects to Aniocha south local government area, particularly the Ubulu Uno kingdom, adding that he had mentored younger politicians and youths in the area to become leaders in their own rights.

Obi Kikachukwu urged Chief Agbobu to use his new traditional title to bring greater honours to Ubulu Uno kingdom and humanity and called on the people of the area to rally round him to enable him succeed.

Responding, the new Onihe, Chief Chris Agbobu, thanked the Obi for finding him worthy of the title and promised to use the position to make a difference in Ubulu Uno kingdom.

Chief Agbobu said he would remain passionate about service to God and humanity, adding that the development of the community would continue to enjoy his attention.

He called on the people to remain peaceful and united to enable Ubulu Uno kingdom attain greater heights.
