Deputy chairman, Delta State PDP Campaign Council for the 2019 governorship election, Honourable Prince Ned Nwoko says the Appeal Court victory of Senator Ifeanyi Okowa is in tandem with the popular mandate given to him by Deltans.
In a swift reaction to the Appeal Court judgement in Abuja, Nwoko said Okowa’s affirmation was unstoppable as Deltans truly elected him in the March 9, 2019 governorship polls.
The astute politician said Deltans trooped out in their large numbers to vote Okowa whose popularity was never in doubt, stressing that no court could have failed to uphold the wishes of the people because the electoral victory was never a fluke.
Nwoko, a former member of the House of Representatives, who rallied widespread support for PDP under the auspices of ‘Operation Return Okowa 2019,’ noted that the quest for equity and solidarity for the Anioma nation motivated his goodwill.
He described Okowa as a good and focused leader deserving of honour, and thanked Deltans for standing strong behind him, before and during the election.
While wishing the Governor divine wisdom in governance, Ned Nwoko urged him to ensure a track record of peace, unity and sustainable development in his quest for a Stronger Delta.
