Delta State Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, has urged Nigerians not to despair over the challenges plaguing the country, saying that God will restore glory to the people if they turn to him.
Okowa made the call on Sunday while delivering a sermon at the 2019 Harvest Thanksgiving Service of St. Philip’s Anglican Church, Asaba.
The Governor, who preached on the theme: ‘ Harvest of Restoration,’ said challenges might come not as a punishment but to draw people closer to God.
He said restoration was dependent on repentance, insisting that people must learn to trust God always, no matter the situation.
According to him, divine restoration was about a whole lot of things, including finances, health, spiritual life, family among others, stressing that God had the solutions to all the challenge of man.
The service featured special prayers for the nation, the state, Christians, and special thanksgiving by the Governor and his family, among others.
