The 2020 budget proposal recently presented to the State House of Assembly by the State Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, has been described as a catalyst for the attainment of the Stronger Delta vision.
A member of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Ossissa ward one, Ndokwa east local government area, Honourable Chuks Asuai, made the assertion in a statement in Asaba.
Honourable Asuai noted that the budget provided for all the sectors relevant to the Stronger Delta vision, adding that the allocation of N84bn to road development would give effect to government’s plan to link all the communities in the state by road to ensure accelerated development.
Honourable Asuai said the proposed establishment of 19 more Technical Colleges was an indication that the Okowa administration believed in equity, stressing that the move would further boost the entrepreneurship development programme of the state government.
The PDP faithful commended a party leader in Ndokwa east, Chief Godswill Obielum, for mentoring and encouraging up coming politicians in the area, and urged the youth to support him.
