DTHA LANDS COMMTTEE PROMISES ROBUST PARTNERSHIP WITH MINISTRY

Delta State House of Assembly Committee on Lands, Survey and Urban Development has promised effective collaboration with the Ministry and Paraststals under its oversight supervision.


The Committee’s chairman, Honourable Rueben Izeze, made the promise when he led members of the Committee on a working visit to the headquarters of the State Ministry of Lands, Surveys and Urban Development in Asaba.


Honourable Izeze and four other members of the Committee, including Honorables Emomotimi Guwor, Ferguson Onwo, Austin Chikezie and Austin Uroye, were received on arrival by the Commissioner, Mr Chuchill Amagada and top officials of the Ministry.


Izeze, representing Ughelli South Constituency in the House, informed the Commissioner and his management team that the visit was to enable members of the Committee to familiarize themselves with the Ministry and its parastatals.

He expressed the readiness of members of the Committee to justify the trust reposed in them by the leadership of the House and the people in the discharge of their oversight duties.


The Legislator solicited the cooperation of the Ministry in the realization of set goals, assuring that the Committee was determined to partner the Ministry to effectively play its role.


Responding, the State Commissioner for Lands, Survey and Urban Development, Mr. Churchill Amagada, assured the legislators of maximum cooperation in the performance of their oversight functions, in line with the Stronger Delta vision of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa.

 
Amagada noted that both the Ministry and the Committee were working towards the same goal, stressing that it was the responsibility of both parties to assist the Governor to succeed in the task ahead.


The Commissioner thanked the chairman and members for the visit and pledged his commitment to moving the Ministry forward.
